We’ve teamed up with the truly marvellous team at Beach House, home of The Break Beach Bar (overlooking Widemouth Bay) to offer this excellent dinner, bed and breakfast prize. The Beach House is a laid-back venue right on the beach, whose garden is lapped by the local, surfer-magnet tides. It’s one of The Times’ Top 20 UK Beachside Bars and Restaurants and frequently finds itself in newspaper and magazine Top Tens.
The Break Bar’s Beth says, “We offer the finest in locally sourced and sustainable produce, alongside global flavours. Fish is our forté: summer’s epic seafood sharing board is a local favourite. Located where the countryside meets the sea, we have the best of both worlds, offering chargrilled steaks, skewers and a range of delicious, seasonal veggie options, bar snacks and little dishes. Our ‘Sunday Roast on the Coast’ has its own loyal following and we’re known for our consistently good food without the hoo-ha.
“Panoramic views over the bay are included free with every visit, and you can enjoy your cocktails in the lounge or beach garden, with private access to the beach at the bottom of the garden.
“Where possible we support our local food and booze heroes and we are ourselves an independent, local, family-run venue. We’re super family friendly and have a children’s fun corner, boardgames and books. Your well-behaved dogs are welcome, too.
The Prize
The room: This competition prize is for one free night in a double (or twin) room at Beach House B&B with balcony, beach views, a two-course dinner and a bottle of Prosecco. Breakfast is also included.
Optional extensions and upgrades: The winner may upgrade to a beach-facing, king-sized room with balcony for an additional £25. If the winner seeks to extend their stay, they may do so at a discounted special price of £75 a night (£100 if already upgraded to the king-sized bedroom).
Dinner: The winner may enjoy their dinner on the evening of their arrival/ overnight stay, or the meal could be taken as lunch or dinner the following day/ evening (once checked out), e.g. for those arriving late on the evening of their overnight stay.
Available dates and exclusions: This prize may be booked for dates from 12 Feb 2024 until 30 April 2024. Exclusions are: Weds 14 Feb (Valentine’s evening); Feb half-term (9-17 Feb inclusive); Easter (28 Mar to 7 Apr inclusive).
Terms and Conditions
One entry per person.
Competition closes at midnight on Sunday 18 Feb 2024.
One name will be chosen at random from all entrants across all competition channels on Mon 19 Feb 2024.
The winner will be contacted via email or Social Media on Mon 19 Feb 2024 . Two attempts at contact will be made within 7 days. If no response is received by the original winner within 7 days of the second attempt, we reserve the right to randomly select and to contact another person, to receive this prize. The original winner will forfeit their right to this prize and no alternative prize will be available or offered.
No transport to Beach House is provided as part of this prize.
The winner’s first name and area of residence, for example Kerry from Bristol, may be used by both Printslinger (for The Coastal Café Guide and The Extra Mile Guide) and by Beach House across any online and offline channels to publicise the competition prize once finished.
Further opportunities for the winner to participate in Social Media promotion following their win may be offered; participation is optional.
